Professor Andreas Pinkwart was born in 1960 in Seelscheid, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. After a banking apprenticeship at Dresdner Bank AG in Cologne and Frankfurt/M. he studied macroeconomics and business economics at the University of Münster and the University of Bonn from where he obtained his doctoral degree in 1991, with a thesis on Chaos and Corporate Crisis supervised by Professor Horst Albach. During that time he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for SME Research Bonn, Germany (IfM). Subsequently Professor Pinkwart did ran the office of the FDP's (Free Democratic Party) leader of the parliamentary group in the German Bundestag from 1991 to 1994. In 1994 he became a professor for Business Administration and Economics at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Düsseldorf from where he 2007/8 moved to the University of Siegen to accept a chair for Business Economics, esp. Small and Medium Sized Companies. Being on a sabbatical leave from October 2002 to April 2011, Professor Pinkwart was a Member of the German Parliament (2002 - 2005) and Minister for Innovation, Science, Research and Technology as well as Deputy Prime Minister of the state of North RhineWestphalia (2005 - 2010). In 2011 Professor Pinkwart was appointed as Dean of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and shairholder of the Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank Chair for Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. In 2017 he became Minister of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. 2022 he was elected as Member of State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. Over the course of her career, Tamara has positioned and facilitated the sales of multiple other startups, including Path (a mobile-only social network, acquired by KakaoTalk), Fusion One (a mobile cloud backup solution, acquired by Synchronoss), and Color (live streaming technology, acquired by Apple). She also helped to facilitate the IPOs of Boingo (WiFi) and Software.com (email).

Tamara started her tech career at Sun Microsystems and Silicon Graphics at the time when major Telecoms were pioneering internet services for the first time. She has a B.S. in Finance from Michigan State University and sits on the Broad Business School Board for Michigan State, as well as the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Udayan has been a keen proponent of the fast-changing landscape of Financial Services in the transition
from an industrial era to the information age and now to the networked economy.
He fell into the intersection of Financial Services and technology well before the term FinTech was coined
and traversed the Growth Markets when they were called frontier markets.
His global experience began as the son of a diplomat living across multiple continents with his working life
commencing in traditional investment banking and transitioning through to investing and entrepreneurship.
Prior to co-founding Apis, Udayan co-founded and lead Anthemis Group, the first specialist global investor
in FinTech based in London where he made 32 investments including well-known names such as Simple,
Betterment and Trov. Prior to that he was Global Head of Financial Technology Advisory at Deutsche Bank.
Udayan lives in London, is married with two children, and enjoys trying out innovative spinning studios to
work off his passion for food and wine wherever his Apis travels take him.
